Wesley's Island 2nd Annual Pig Roast is Scheduled for Saturday March 25, 2017

Well it is that time of year again! Last year was such a year St Lucie County's Department of Environmental Resources were able to come in and remove all of the Exotic Species From the Northwestern side of the island. Volunteers came fro all over to replant native grasses and Trees on and around the Island.

Last year also showed us what happens when we ignore our natural resources! We had one of the worst algae blooms in years. Most of the contamination was south in Martin County. This year we must remain more vigilant. More study is needed and hopefully we will be able to get more students out the island to conduct more scientific research and help us maintain our natural resources.
